Key art for a production of Annie Baker’s The Aliens, a story of three misfits loitering behind a coffee shop, written in Baker’s signature style with sparse dialogue and long, uncomfortable silences. The focus of the design is a handcrafted miniature of the set, which represents the many cigarettes the characters smoke while they are not talking.
